5th Grade Music Performance--Tuesday, January 19
The 5th grade concert is Tuesday, January 19th at 7:00 pm. The 5th graders will be singing songs about winter and playing recorder. It will be a fun performance with a variety of musical concepts and styles!
Congratulations Miss Martaus!
Miss Martaus was awarded a HVEF grant to purchase ukuleles! There are now 15 ukuleles in the music room to use. 4th and 5th graders will be using them to enhance music learning in the upcoming months. They will also be using Makey Makey Boards, electronic circuit boards that help students create music with Chromebooks.

Knit Wits!--From Mrs. Adams
The Third Grade Knit Wits at Brooks Elementary are at it again - knitting with Mrs. Adams. We are learning how to knits. First we start off with small projects such as book marks and scarves. Then we will move onto other projects such as Beanie Baby blankets to wrap around Beanie-Babies for children in hospitals. The best part is we are volunteering to skip our recess to teach and learn how to knit.
Cleanest Classroom Award
Each week Mr. Ray selects the class who earns the "Cleanest Classroom" trophy. The students enjoy finding out if their class was in the running each week. The "Cleanest Classroom" is announced each Monday and the class is able to show off their trophy for a week.
Congratulations to Mrs. Hojnacki's class for working hard to receive the award this past week. Great job, Bobcats!
